About this Talk
Cover Your "ASSessment" (part 1 of 2): Something not quite making sense in your evaluation... pay attention to that tension! This talk is geared to be as much "renewing education" as it is continuing education as we'll take a look at screening for possible non-MSK and/or MSK "red flags" (i.e. possible referrals) as viewed through an orthopedic lens. We'll go over the topics ranging from what's the latest acronym for a possible stroke (it's now BEFAST vs. just FAST)...to the latest clinical prediction rules (CPR) for DVT & PE... In all, we'll cover over 50 related screening items! We'll review the "can't miss these" as well as those non-musculoskeletal issues that may mimic musculoskeletal pathologies. Part 2 of 2 will be in the next conference... we'll dive into all of those musculoskeletal referral pathologies including all of those special tests (review of old and introduction of some new!).
